Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, “This is for you, Daddy.” He was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger blaze again when he found the box was empty.
He shouted at her, “Don’t you know that when you give somebody a gift, there is supposed to be something inside it?”
The little girl looked at his father with tears in her eyes and whispered, “Daddy, it is not empty. I blew kisses into the box. All for you.
The father was amazed and crushed. He put his arm around his little girl and he pleaded for her forgiveness. It is said that the man kept that box by his bed for years and whenever he was hopeless or dispersed.
In reality each of us have been given a box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our family, children, friends and God. There is no more valuable possession someone could hold.
